Schipperskerk (Bargees church)
The Schipperskerk (“Bargees church”) was built in 1949 and offered bargees the possibility to keep in touch with the local people and to send their children to school. The H. Knops-Heffels family bought the former church building in 1999 and gave it a cultural destination. A place for activities in the field of cabaret and a creative centre for flower decoration were established there. Nowadays it is used as a Bed & Breakfast. During the restoration of the municipal monument, authentic characteristics have been preserved as much as possible.
