The Maasplassen in the region of Roermond were created by gravel pits. They form the biggest water sports area in the Netherlands. The pools between Roermond and Maaseik are a true paradise for sailors, surfers, water skiers and other water sports enthusiasts. Hikers and cyclers can also cover numerous routes through the varied nature. You can relax, swim and party in the beach pavilion on Funbeach in Panheel.
