Wine is cultivated in many places in South Limburg, also in Schin op Geul. This is where Eco-Wijndomein St. Mauritius can be found. In 2006, owner Marcel Neven had the honour of being awarded with the “Winegrower of the Year” prize. The unique thing is that it’s an ecological vineyard so all the wines have the EKO trademark. You can experience the entire process of winemaking from growing the grapes to bottling wine when you visit the domain. This visit includes a walk through the vineyard, an explanation of the process by an expert and finally tasting the wine that is cultivated here.
