The Basilica of Saint Servatius holds a treasure room full of tradition, history and religious culture. Relics are carefully preserved in the treasure room. The rich treasure of the church consists of a number of objects related to the person Saint Servatius, such as the gilded bust, the pectoral cross, the pilgrim's staff, the bishop's staff, the chalice, the seal and the goblet. The showpiece is the Shrine of Servatius, which contains the bones of the Saint and other bishops of Tongeren. It is the highlight of goldsmith art from the land of Meuse. Every seven year, during the Sanctuary procession, the Shire in carried through the streets of Maastricht. Also, there is a great collection of eastern silk from the 6th century on, and ivory and silver reliquaries.
Entrance fee: adults €3.80, children under 18 years under supervision from parents free of charge, seniors, under-eighteens without supervision and students €2.30
