Artist Jellie van Kranen mostly makes colourful birds from raku fired ceramics with nicely finished feet made of reinforcement steel and tail and head feathers made of iron, embellished with wooden, glass or clay beads. Every bird is unique; they are all handmade by Jellie and she doesn’t use moulds.
