Kumulus is the beating heart for amateur artists in Maastricht and the surrounding areas. In addition to music, theatre, ballet, dance and musical classes they teach classes on visual, audiovisual and digital art and on writing and exploring art. Practicing art together is the essence of Kumulus, because this will frequently give students the chance to present their work or their music. The courses, that are taught by professionally educated teachers, are currently being attended by roughly 4.400 students.
The knowledge and the skills available for the education at Kumulus are also used for other art and cultural projects. They support elementary and secondary schools, amateur art clubs in Maastricht and art projects in the neighbourhoods of Maastricht in their endeavours, along with other organisations.
