Maastricht
Maastricht is located in the heart of the Euregion and it is the perfect base to discover the hills of South Limburg and the neighbouring countries Belgium and Germany.
Maastricht has a rich history and the city hasn’t lost its brilliance over the centuries; the character of the past is still clearly present in the old town centre. Over 1600 monuments, enjoyable squares, ancient churches, magnificent façades and beautiful mansions make the city very popular.
You can find a wide variety of exclusive and specialised shops in the field of art, antiques, fashion, design and delicacies, in the sometimes narrow streets of the old town centre. The exuberant lifestyle is central, which is why the city is known for its many cosy cafes and restaurants.
Maastricht has a great infrastructure (airport, train and bus connections to the neighbouring countries). It is a cultural, a university and a congress city. On a regular basis, exhibitions are held in the Mecc facilities, attracting many visitors every year. Combining a visit to the exhibition with a visit to the hospitable and attractive city of Maastricht is an unforgettable experience.
