The RurUfer bicycle path belongs to the most beautiful cycle paths of the Euregion. The path starts at the source of the river in the Belgian Hohe Venn near Botrange and leads to the estuary of the Meuse in Roermond about 180 km further on, passing the reservoirs of the Rur. Bigger hills on this route are only in the Eifel. The route is exceptionally family friendly in between Heimbach and Roermond even for untrained cyclists. You can cycle both ways depending on where you would prefer to start.
