Time seems to stand still when you see Shantala Shivalingappa move on stage accompanied by her four incredible musicians. Shantala, who is today considered one of the biggest names in Indian dance, became known inEuropethanks to her collaboration with masters such as Maurice Béjart, Peter Brook and Pina Bausch. The deep impressions on her are translated into her play and outlook on art. In this recital she moves on a subtle line, mixing tradition with her modern vision and style. Because the Pays de Danses is keen to show the versatility of dance, they have decided for the first time to perform an Indian dance.
