The park of the castle of Colonster

Le Parc du Château Colonster
Allée des Erables 1
4000 Liège

The impressive park surrounding the old castle of Colonster (Le Parc du Château Colonster) in Liège was designed around 1825. The broad stretches of grass and the grand avenues invite the visitor to take a lovely stroll. There is ample variation in trees; maple trees, linden trees, beech trees and magnificent old oaks. The Castle of Colonster used to be property of the mighty prince bishops of Liège, but nowadays it is the university’s reception room, where the conferences are also held. This park is very suitable as a picnic spot and it is situated just outside of Liège.
