As a humanist prince, Ernst van Beieren maintains a literate court, which bears witness to his passion for astronomy, mathematics, medicine, philosophy and art. As a Catholic prince, he dispels witches and protestants. He, however, has relationships with several women, whose children he recognises, and devotes his time to alchemy.

More than 350 paintings, pieces of furniture and manuscripts from public and private collections from Belgium and abroad are brought to life though a contemporary interior design concept (images in 3D). These images breathe new life into this personality - Galileo's famous friend and Emperor Rudolf the Seconds' nephew. This educational, thematic and interactive exhibition is suitable for all audiences.
