The acknowledged arts centre BELGIE has a continuing and many-sided supply of renewing cultural activities. The cultural calendar has local and international accents and works by various disciplines: from visual arts on film, music, stage productions to interdisciplinary creations and festivals. BELGIE prefers young artists and renewing groups and companies. The centre can be found in a renovated industrial building in the Burgemeester Bollenstraat in Hasselt. The cooperation with the OPEN CIRCUIT production platform, located inside historic buildings in Hasselt, ‘Huis Hoste and Pand Koloniale Waren’ (81-85 Koningin Astridlaan), has provided for a valuable addition.
In arts centre BELGIE you can often enjoy a nice film for an evening out. Famous and not so famous films, Belgian hits, films for true theatre lovers, the better B-films, but also theme nights with multiple shows on the program.
