The Art and Cultural Centre is known by its German acronym KuK. This institution is housed in a building about 150 years old near the historical centre of Monschau, where all the fine arts now converge.
Since 2002, the cultural foundation centre in North Rhine Westphalia supports artists on the way to making their vocation their profession, counseling them in questions of marketing and giving them information about tax and contract law for artists. They are also given help with specific contract planning. Workshops are also offered and exhibitions are organized.
There is also a studio house with work and seminar rooms that invite creative exchange, as well as a museum with temporary exhibitions on the ground floor. On the first floor there are lengthier exhibitions on regional themes. With this rich variety of offers, the KuK has developed into an essential cultural promoter in the Euregio.
