The city’s municipal further education centre offers courses in the fields of learning and work techniques, Electronic Data Processing and vocational further training.  25 foreign languages can be learned, as well as German as a foreign and second language.  Students can participate in parental and family education programmes or gain further education in such theme areas as health, psychology, art, culture, nature, technology, society and politics.  In addition, there are other propositions for education and school completion programmes, the young « Volkshochschule » (Public University), general further education counselling and counselling for small and medium enterprises.
